INTRODUCTORY STORY

Ten Years Ago....

Life couldn’t have been sweeter in the lands of Hyrule. With the threat of evil sent away by the Hero of Time, all woodland and townsfolk alike could live in peace knowing that they were safe from the darkness’ treacherous grasp. With his mission complete, the great youthful hero trailed off into an expedition in search of a dear friend once lost to him after the end of his previous adventure. His departure was silent, leaving many to wonder just where their protector --the wielder of the sacred triangle proving his mighty Courage-- had wandered off to. Many gossiped this and theorized that, but none could conclude to where he had gone... and if he would return. Many children of the forest who knew this boy of legend began to question as well, though it fell upon the same conclusion as the people of the town and other residents of the woods: Naught. To where did he go, O grand Hero of Time? None in Hyrule ever knew.

This peace slowly declined into uneasiness as years passed by and not a sign of the young swordsman’s return was ever made. It shortly declined into dread as eerie clouds began to loom over the lands, uttering silent whispers of a foul wish transcending time’s will to doom the kingdom into ill fate. Monsters filled with malice rose from the darkest corners of the earth and began to ravage the land upon the final command of their fell master, working their way from the furthest borders of Hyrule towards the mainlands. It began to drive the wildlife away, including the more sentient folk who made the forests their home. Soon the beasts became too great in number, forcing numerous creatures and people alike to abandon their homes in search of sanctuary. Many wander the lands, hurriedly dashing away from the evil that was soon to strike, searching for that one ray of hope.

Present times....

By the informant of travelling Business Scrubs, soon word spread to woodland folk of a haven, a calm place untouched by evil just yet to where they could stay in peace, leaving the humans and Hylians to fend by their own means without innocent forest-dwellers falling in their way. The land was due north of the Hyrulean Monarchy’s castle walls, beyond the forbidden forests of yore. Through the darkness was a ray of hope, and many trekked day and night to reach this area sacred to deku scrub kind and the like.

You too hear of this splendid oasis of cold, but doubt fills your mind as skepticism claws your subconscious. Though determination tears you away from these ill thoughts, as you made your decision to give this Northern Woods place a try. Perhaps a fresh beginning? A brand new opportunity to assist others or cause a bit of mischief? Or perhaps someplace to hide away before jumping back into action to reclaim your home further south? T’is land anew as you set off by your own reasons to find oasis in these troubling times for Hylia’s sacred land...

O traveler of the forest.... Your journey has yet to begin in the Woodlands of the Brave....

WORLD MAP

To where you will be traveling is called Fauna Village. It's a fairly well-sized and self-run village that primarily consists of Deku Scrubs of widening variety. Due to so many refugees hiding out here, all walks of forest life can now be spotted in this town. The area is surrounded by calm thicket and consists of various homes and huts made of natural materials, dried mud, and other things that clever deku have scavenged. While your stay here, Fauna Village will be the primary hub of events, tasks, and missions here at WoodlandsOfTheBrave. It is by your own individual will that you will be kind or foul to these frigid tree people. Tasks (ergo missions) are available to everyone, and can be found at the task board here: Fauna Village Tasks

Overworld map coming soon! You will find it down below when finished. (We will update our members/watchers when this occurs)
